The Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass Newsletter for January, 2010!

Our next 1^st Friday Bluegrass gathering will be on Friday, January 1^st, 2010. Scheduled to appear are: “The Ridge Runners”; “Drive Tyme”

and “The Cope Brothers”.

Our December Bluegrass night was a hoot! Our thanks to “The Josh Williams Band”, “The McKendrees”, “Old Santa Fe”, and of course, Becky McKendree’s delicious homemade candy!

JAM SESSION BEGINS AT 6:30 pm, AND THE FEATURED ACTS BEGIN AT 7:30 pm

Our Bluegrass Association lost a charter member when our friend Sherrell “Speedy” Wyatt passed away on December 5, 2009. He was a great guy and a great musician.

As often happens, the JPFOB 1^st Friday Bluegrass gathering will conflict with the national SPBGMA Convention at the Music City Sheraton in Nashville. Therefore, we will not have a February Bluegrass night, in order for our members to attend this annual big event in Bluegrass music. Our next Bluegrass Gathering will be Friday March 5^th, 2010.

From your officers and the JPFOB Board of Directors, we hope this Holiday season has been a great one for you, and we are hoping that 2010 will be an even better year for us all.
