The Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass Newsletter for April, 2010!

Our next 1st Friday Bluegrass gathering will be on Friday, April 2nd, 2010.   Scheduled to appear, as of the date of this mailing, are: "The Young Opry Players" and "Youngtown"( a new and exciting Nashville based group of exceptionally talented youngsters ages 13 through 19).

The JPFOB is pleased to announce that "Donna Ulisse and  The Poor Mountain Boys", will be in concert to benefit WAAJ Radio 89.7 FM at the Kentucky Opry on Friday evening of April 9, 2010 at 7:30 PM. Tickets for this concert are only $10.00 each. Donna is a great songwriter, singer, and entertainer. Please support this concert, we do not want to lose the opportunity for nationally touring bands to play in our area. These concerts will disappear if we all do not support them. I’m certain you will enjoy "Donna Ulisse and the Poor Mountain Boys". Tickets are available at the Opry, or by calling the Opry at (270) 527-3869, or toll free at 888-459-8704. Please join us in supporting this effort to continue bringing nationally touring bands to our area. If these concerts are not supported, we will lose concert series performances like this. I have seen these entertainers perform, and this is a great value in a concert. Do Not Miss it!

Congratulations to Josh Williams, we have just learned his cut of "Blue Railroad Train" from his new "Down Home" CD, will debut on the Bluegrass Unlimited charts in April at number 29.
